Putting lights on dimmers gives you control over brightness and helps set a mood. Dimmers can be added for individual fixtures or completely integrated dimming systems are available that let you control the lighting in an entire room with one switch. Some allow you to preset different lighting ``scenes`` for different times of day or activities. Dimming fixtures will also help you to conserve energy and extend the life of your bulbs.
