Return Policy

Our goal at Idlewood Electric is to ensure complete satisfaction from our customers. We understand that returns occur for many different reasons and we will do our best to accommodate your return. Please be aware that returns are subject to restocking and reshipping charges.

  1. Please inspect your fixture within 48 hours of receiving your order.
  2. Save the original carton and all packaging materials in case a return is needed.

Stock Product

  • - A stock item can be returned at no charge if it is in new, uninstalled condition (no wires cut) and in the original box with all packaging and original parts within 30 days of pick up, delivery or shipping.
  • - We will receive a maximum of 3 stock returns of the same item.
  • - Once the product is inspected by an Idlewood Electric representative, a credit will be issued in the form of payment originally used to purchase the item(s).

Special/Customs

  • - Final sale items, select floor models and custom fixtures are not returnable.
  • - With approval, a special order item can be returned with a restocking and reshipping fee. The product must be in new, uninstalled condition (no wires cut) and in the original box with all packaging and original parts. Special order returns must be made within 30 days of pick up, delivery or shipping.
    • - Restocking and return shipping fees are determined by each manufacturer. An average restocking fee is between 25% - 35%.
    • - Return shipping charges to the manufacturer are the responsibility of the customer.

Credit and Payments

Credit for a return will be issued after the item has been received and inspected thoroughly by an Idlewood Electric representative. A payment will be required for a replacement if the original item has not been returned.

Non-Returnable Products

  • - Installed products cannot be returned.
  • - Products without the original carton or packaging cannot be returned.
  • - Glass or replacements parts cannot be returned.
  • - Orders cannot be cancelled if they have already shipped from the factory.

Damaged Fixtures

  • - Please notify us immediately if an item is damaged and take photographs of the damaged product. You can call and speak with a showroom sales associate at (847) 831-3600.
  • - Do not install the damaged product.
  • - Damaged items will be repaired or replaced at the company's discretion.
